FOOS-DC

This is the first official design community related foos tournament in the DC area. We look to our friends at the WGDFC in NYC for inspiration and advice. We play by the united states table soccer association (u.s.t.s.a.) tournament rules.
  
All teams intending to play MUST sign up by February 1st in order to get on the bracket. To sign up, visit event.pingg.com/FOOS-DC.) An updated email will then be sent to those teams with their location prior to the event on the 6th. If you register as a team please note your team name for the brackets in the rsvp.
  
It is a double elimination bracket tournament (everyone stays in the tournament until they lose twice). Final 2 teams from each location compete in a double elimination (Final 4 tournament) for the title.
  
Winners receive a tournament trophy, but it will be a challenge cup, so the winning team is responsible to return to the tournament the following year to defend their title or lose the trophy to the new champs.
  
Winners also receive $30 paid entry into the WGDFC in NYC (usually in November) and 2 round-trip tickets via BoltBus should you choose to attend and represent Washington DC's finest.
  
Depending on interest, teams will be placed in 2 locations (Fleishman-Hillard and FOX Architects are within mere blocks of each other) to play the elimination rounds and the top 2 teams will convene at Fleishman-Hillard in Farragut Square to play the championship round. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend the championship round to see who will obtain the coveted tournament trophy for the first time.
