The AIGA DC Night Out series is an informal meet-up group designed to seek out events that will re-energize and stimulate the right side of your brain. Join us for an inspiring and fun evening of possibility. Open to members & non-members alike.
Look for board members wearing Night Out Series buttons to join our group. Entrance to all events this evening are free.
Hosted by Sarah Aburdene, Fabian Bernal, Matthew Esposito, Brain Corrigan and in collaboration with Quinn Murph - Illuminations, Inc. Boffi Studio, Meat Market Gallery, and The Pink Line Project, this satelite event in Cady's alley is aimed at bringing together practitioners, scholars, and students of different disciplines in the hopes of promoting a greater awareness about the local design community.

INSTALLATION: "CACHE" A work by Alberto Gaitan @ Coverings House
This installation transforms used materials into ephemeral art, allowing the DC community to experience and enjoy temporary architecture. Constructed by Alberto Gaitán, this interactive installation will be composed of both reused materials and specialized lighting design. It will be staged in a traditional row house by Cady's Alley. Defying rigid concepts of design, this installation incorporates everyday functional objects, creating unexpected spaces for the public to engage and explore.

Capital Pecha Kucha Night @ Boffi Studio
Artist, engineers, architects, manufacturers and animators—designers of all backgrounds—participate in PechaKucha Night. Pecha Kucha is a wonderful forum to communicate design ideas and get to know your fellow artists.

After Party @ L2 Lounge
With the installation unveiled, share your design thoughts and mingle with creatives from all backgrounds.
Saturday Event

Look. Lunch. Learn @ Cady's Alley
Saturday is a day long lecture series where store owners and experts give back to back, half hour talks on specific aspects and elements of design. Enjoy a day of educational lectures from some of the areas best architectural and interior design shops including: Boffi Studio, Design Within Reach, Bulthap, Pedini, M2L, Illuminations, Contemporaria, Bo Concept, PoggenPhol, and Janus et Cie. Topics include everything from a lunch prepared by a Miele Kitchen at Bulthap to How to Plan a Residential Lighting Project at Illuminations.
